Security and privacy
What an AI assistant connected to Knock can read, where that data goes, and how to disconnect it.
- Read-only, except enrichment. The enrichment tools use your workspace's enrichment credits and add the people they enrich to your contacts, and to your CRM under your sync settings. Every other tool only reads, and no tool can send messages or delete anything in Knock.
- Signed in as you. You connect with your dashboard login, not an API key. A connection reads one workspace, and only what your role there can see.
- Data goes to your AI provider. What the tools return, including contact names, email addresses and chat messages, goes to the company that runs your assistant, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, under your agreement with them. Connect only assistants your company allows for customer data.
Disconnect
Remove Knock AI from your assistant's connectors or MCP servers. Removing someone from your Knock workspace also ends their connections.
